Self-Archiving Policy

This policy provides guidelines for authors of the Iraq Medical Journal (IMJ) on archiving their published work on personal websites, corporate sites, and relevant subject repositories. The IMJ operates under an open-access license, enabling articles to be immediately accessible according to their specific Creative Commons license. When publishing an article under an open-access license, the IMJ recommends that authors share the Version of Record at the time of publication, rather than the Accepted Manuscript.

Moreover, authors may reuse the Abstract and Citation information, including the article's title, author name, and publication date, on various social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, blogs, and Twitter, provided that they include a link to the article on the IMJ site, where possible. It is preferred that the link includes the Digital Object Identifier (DOI), which is available in the article's online Citation information. The accepted version may also be placed on the author's personal website or their company/institutional repository or archive without an embargo period.
